Fire Door Survey Services
What typically happens is that prior to any inspection taking place we kindly request the building owners to supply us with a copy of the building plans. This obviously highlights the locations of the door and whether they are single or double sets. On occasions, these will show the door’s unique asset tag details.
Using this information, we can create a report template which initially shows the building, door location and asset tag details.
We will then visit every door individually and ensure that the asset tag matches the plans.
Where plans are not available, we will capture the location and asset details.
Once any remedial actions have been completed, we are often then instructed to complete a survey of all the failed doors to ensure that they now comply.

This will require the removal of hardware to determine if the hardware has been correctly fitted. The removal of architrave prior to our arrival to determine if the gap between the frame and structural opening has been correctly fire stopped. The architrave will be refitted by yourselves following inspection.
